Robert Mugge
Bio
Mugge was born in Chicago and after his first nine years in Raleigh, NC, grew up primarily in the Washington, D.C. area. He received a B.A. degree in Film and Associated Art Media from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) and studied in Temple University's graduate film program. He has been working primarily as an independent filmmaker, obtaining financing for his projects from various funders throughout the years, for four decades now. For a brief time, from 2003-2005, he was Filmmaker in Residence for Mississippi Public Broadcasting and he now holds the Edmund and Virginia Ball Endowed Chair in the Telecommunications Department of Ball State University, Muncie, Indiana where he teaches upper-level courses in filmmaking and film studies.
He is now married to his filmmaking partner/producer, Diana Zelman, as of November, 2012 and he has two sons from his first marriage, which ended in 2003. He has recently "inherited" three step-children and nine grandchildren.
